Fluidized bed filter for a reef? | |
Falstaf Fish Addict Posts: 785 Kudos: 1211 Votes: 196 Registered: 12-Feb-2004 | Hi!! I just got my hands over a great fluidized bed filter, and an extra tank from a client that didn't want it anymore, and i was wondering if it would be ok to use it to turn the tank into a reef tank. Will that be ok? |

I personally don't have any experience with the fluidized bed filters, but I would think there would be easier methods for additional biofiltration if necessary. I'd also probably prefer live rock as the bio medium in a reef tank. That said, I don't know of any problems with using one! As for the tank, congrats! Just make sure that copper meds were never used in the tank to ensure that your inverts stay alive . Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |
