I just opened my canister filter and found a surprise. 6 Celestial Pearl Danio fry alive and doing well. Not sure how they got there because I put a sponge filter on the inlet 2 months ago. They are not ones that went missing I have the same number as before, So I guess I had babies and didn't even know it. Now my problem is were are the rest of the fry. So I must assume the eat there fry.

Yeah, most egg scatterers (danios, tetras, and the like) will eat their fry given half a chance.

It's cool that you bred your danios, though. They're a beautiful fish.

DJ, there's a feature article about breeding them in one of the magazines I have at home. I'll hunt it up over the next day or so and scan it up for you.

Listen! Do you smell that?

When my BN were breeding I was always finding fry in the canister. The most unusual find was a tomato seed that had started to germinate.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
