Mmmm...food....

We're gonna have the regular stuff--turkey, mashed potatoes, greenbeans...

My favorite dish is a pumpkin bread recipe I got from a friend. It comes out so moist, but it's funny because it doesn't taste like pumpkins at all!

*sends wish-ga a whole pumpkin pie*

My mom sent me half a loaf of pumpkin bread!

Otherwise, my Thanksgiving meal will consist of whatever my gracious hosts are making! (All I know is the main course is turkey)

Yum... we're heading to my parents (a whole 6 miles away) for all the good stuff. Turkey and ham, green beans, biscuits, corn pudding (my dad's specialty), cranberry, black cherry salad (a jello concoction my mom makes), and my contributions, real mashed potatos and an apple pie. The apple pie just came out of the oven 2 hours ago and I'm peeling my 15 lbs of potatos first thing in the morning. Takes forever to make my 2 dishes but they're so good! Of course the apple pie has been calling my name all night... very tempting. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Beth

edit: Forgot to mention Mom's pumpkin spice muffins... with nutmeg and cinnamon... yum!

*exchanges some of her Thanksgiving dinner for Nate's knowledge*

Thanksgiving is a big dinner in my family, 20+lb turkey, mashed potatoes, cornbread, string beans, stuffing, cranberey sauce, over 5 pies...it's big. The turkey itself used to weigh as much as me.
