How many gouramis? Are they the three you mentioned in another thread? If so, I wouldn't add any discus.

Firstly, you don't want to keep them with any aggressive fish. Angelfish *allegedly* don't get along well with discus, and your gouramis are pretty mean, anyways. Secondly, discus need good water quality to survive. You already have several fish in the tank, which compromises the quality of your water. Finally, discus really do best in tanks with an acidic pH (6.7 and lower is best, I believe), with soft water. If your water isn't like that, then I wouldn't go for the discus, even if you move all the other fish out of there. It is just too much of a hassle to change your water, and often not worth it.

I'm not sure about the gouramis but I have an angel and a discus and they get along fine now.

Discus like the company of their own, so 2 wouldn't be enough, most likely. There are many people who swear by the rule that says that angels can carry parasites and diseases that will kill discus. Discus are EXTREMELY sensative, and I think they belong in a tank specially designed for them. They are also very demanding, both in their water quality and their food. Are you prepared to feed them specialized foods like beefheart, or other high-quality foods? These aren't flake-food-once-a-day fish. You already have a few large fish in that tank, so it would probably be a good idea to get a school of something, or some smaller fish.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

I recommend a minimim stocking group of 5 discus to prevent typical cichlid aggression among the discus. I also recommend that as the minimum number of angelfish.

The most significant problem of mixing angelfish and discus together in my mind is the difference in speed and activity. Angelfish have a much more voracious appettite and are much faster than discus. I don't feel that the discus would be able to compete with the angels for food.

Secondarily, if you have a pair of angels in your tank I am afraid that any new fish additions that would compete with the angels would be attacked including other angels. Ideally a school of angels should be introduced all at one time.
