Now, I've heard that the two have different water parameter requirements, but when I looked them up it looks similar to me. Should these two fish be kept together or is this a bad idea? I'm not thinking of doing it myself (my water would be terrible for discus....and I don't have a big enough tank), but I'm curious about it......opinions? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If both fish are healthy & you have quarantined them well, then you shouldn't have any problems. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

Certainly they might be from the Amazon but that does not mean that live together. I could be totally wrong. Are they not two totally different tempermental fish one rather shy and the other aggresive in comparison to each other. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I will add though that my lfs keeps their discus in seperate tanks and they use seperate filtration. hope this helped. chris |
