Fish etc. (Unfortunately I cannot get angels ![]() I will have 6 pandas, 6 cardinals, and 2 rams. This will depend on what size the tank will be. I want to have a nice piece of driftwood, and the substrate will be smallish gravel. I want to put some java fern in for the cories as well. Anything else I could add to the tank, plant wise etc. ![]() |

Authentic biotope for cardinals in black water, tannic, with submerged wood, no plants. Marginal plants in this area are echinodorus, swords. Rams are generally from the Orinoco basin as opposed to the Amazon basin but will appreciate the driftwood. I recommend eleocharis and echinodorus plants for the tank. The fish would particularly enjoy a branch like piece of wood for cover. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

Along with pictures, it also lists the plants by name. http://www.azgardens.com/habitats_south.php For that tank, I would stick with the smaller, more colorful tetras.
