Yes Frank definately use cuttings in the quarantine and the 25. Found out tonight I can't trim yet. Didn't see this coming yet but at least 50 free swimming angel fry! What a great bday present. Too bad I was juvouvst leaving for my moms so I will be nervous all weekend. Left a lamp on to help them guard. Just in case they survive. Auto feeder set too. Parents doing an awesome job guarding.

You're a man of many words lol.

I traded a large adult male for that pair a few weeks ago. Didn't realize they were a pair, OR spawning age. I was complete surprised!

Well, now you have yet another use for the smaller tank!

You're still a bad influence on me I see lol.

Trying so hard to leave things 2 tanks plus quarantine. No angel breed setup but I'll cave at some point probably. So much moss stuff to do in the 25g. HAD 6 types now 9. Plus have to re-tie some Java fern lace. Plant obsession has its drawbacks! I will be tying plants till my fingers fall off hehe

Thank you Dr. Bonke

A sprig of Hemanthis glomeratum (micranthemoides)ie Baby Tears has caught on and showing growth.

The higher requirement plants I had faded away. L aromatica, brazilian microswords and P helferi (downoi). I added new and brighter tubes and will resume dosing. I will probably add A renecki or the purple variant of it. The lower requirement plants are doing great. Too good if you ask me !

I rescued 3 tiny bits of downoi, in the 25g now along with 4 crypt nurii, subwassertang, baby tears and diy c02. Delicate plants can grow there with minimal disturbance.

Sadly the female angel of my pair passed on. She was small and just had her 2nd spawning. I suspected conditioning. Breeding is set aside for now but bumped up all the fishes diet with frozen shrimp and bloodworms. Should have a walter worm culture shortly too.

The 75 needs much attention. Some plant thinning and shifting. Lots to do. The water change is done and unfortunately is now the easy part

I hear ya Frank! Couple mosses left to tie and glued one also. Remains to be seen how that one will do. Going to double the co2 in the small tank. In the 75 there's 2 trays of spare vals and going to start some hairgrass in trays also. My 10g at tank getting swapped for 15g too. Should be a 20g long hehe

Hi,
When you get a chance (LOL) you might show us a "tray" of spare Vals, and perhaps one of the hairgrass.
Tnx
Frank

Hi Frank

I will do some maintenance, plant shifting and new pics shortly after boxing day. Still have to start the hairgrass tray but if I do it in the 75g I'll have to move the val trays out. Planning to lower the plant list too. The marimo and fissidens fontanus will be moved out & the crypt tropica and wendtii browns will be sold or traded.

Been fussing with the 25g a bit.

Merry Christmas !
