i think im getting a 24-36in peice of african driftwood would this be too big for a 75g

Actually big pieces of drif wood can really bring your tank up visually, they will sure reduce your space, so i would watch out for overstocking once the wood is in there, but it all depends on how you set it up, i've found that if you use it diagonally it sure adds depth to your tank, and attaching plants to it will also do the trick

If the tank is 4ft. long and the piece of wood is 3ft. long. I don't think it can even fit inside. That's almost like trying to fit a sedan in the bed of a pickup,

In a glass tank, I think it would be easier to fit in. But in an acrylic tank, they have small openings on the top which makes it more difficult to fit a large piece of driftwood in.

if the driftwood can go in, then it fits
but be careful the space it will take, your 75G might be reduced to half its capacity.

Considering the size of it more like 1/3 capacity. Only put in enough fish to stock a 20g if you use it.
