well im getting a 30g soon (some people may know this from many of my other threads in the tech fourms and gettin started ). well so far ive got some black (more like grey) gravel from big als online. im thinking of making 2 hills with the gravel and covering it with bigger polished black rocks, one at each corner. then id put some fake plants (tired of the real plants' leaves every where) on each hill. at the middle, i would have like a lava rock with holes in them.

any suggestions?

sound like you have it pretty well figured out yourself.... i think a nice log or peice of wood is always great, and instead of lava rock how bout Texas Holey rock or sumthing like that... its great stuff... oh and real plants are worth the effort

yea i tried to get driftwood, but all i have near me is petland and petco, neither of them have good driftwood or ne at all.

and i dont think i could take care of the plants good enough, i might try again though because i think the reason my previous plants died is cause the bulb on my 10g is really old (more than 1 year). so i might try but mostlikely wont.

thanks for the advice, more is welcomed.
