measurements seem good, if you get it and it is too large, for that price you can always cut it down to fit.

This Drift Wood is from the Ohio River

Anyone know pollution levels in the Ohio River .....

Looks like a nice piece though, just worried about what it might have absorbed.

Not as bad as it used to be Babel. There are many people using drift wood from the Ohio River. I have several pieces I collected a couple of years ago.

Looks pretty cool. It says it has no chemical just river water in it. I go ahead and bid on it cause thats pretty cheap even if you discide not to use it,

Great looking piece! Nice branching with hollows that will provide structure for your fish to relate to in the tank. Price is excellent to buy it now...

Soak it for a while in a large rubber maid container to see if it bleeds tannins or has any peculiar guests.

I agree, though it appears they have it out of water, so I doubt any guests will still be on it. But you never know.

And, depending on your setup, you may want to keep the brown water from the tannins. I have several tanks that I add the brown water, or black water as it is usually termed. It will color your water a yellowish color. For SA, and CA, I have used it as a trigger to get some fish to spawn. And actually, have used it as a trigger to get some of the harder to spawn Rift Lake cichlids to spawn as well.
