I've got a ten gallon tank with nothing but a Betta in it. It has slight algae growth. It's slowly getting algae on the tops of the rocks and I was wondering if there is a small algae eater that will be good for this tank.

Nerite snails should do the trick & eat the algae.

any snail will do. try Malaysian trumpet snails or spixis snails. other snails have a tendency to over populate tanks so stay away from ramshorns or pond snails.

if your betta doesnt mind them you could try some shrimp or ottocinclus (otto cat) for the algae removal... but algae growth signifies a healthy and esablished tank (unless it is an algae bloom)

\\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\"

You could hook up one of those little internal uv filters.

a couple of otto's or a bristlenose pleco would work there not very big and do a great job on algea you would have to have a little drift wood in it ,,,snails can get out of hand
