I'm wondering if i could keep a khuli loach with my betta in a 1 gallon. It seems small but its a small fish. What do you think?

1 gal is fine for a Betta, but Kuhlis grow to 5 inches- too big for a 1 gal

They can get up to 5". My friend had 2- one was 4.5" the other was close to 5".

You could use this as an excuse to get a bigger tank

Yeah. I have a 20 long(is really better for lizards though) a 10 somewhere, and I'm going to be getting a 29. I was thinking just to keep one in there for awile until my 29 is set up. But my betta tank doesn't have a heater so it really wouldn't work anyway.

Kuhlis will definitely grow to ta least 4"; my oldest (of eight) is over 5".

The other problem is that kuhlis, like other loaches, enjoy being kept with company of their own kind.

Khuli with Betta not a problem but in a small tank hopeless.
I have three in with my Betta see photos. As far as length there are several varieties. This site might help you.
