I love them, i have 2 of them in my community tank, i have a stripped and a spotted Raphael catfish, i have had them for about 2 months seen the stripped prolly 2 times in that span and the spotted i never see, they like to lodge themselves in tight places, in corners, they like to feel very secure in the enviroment as well they do like the odd scrap as well, mine eat zucchini and cucumber and any food thats on the bottom, especially the shrimp pellets for cories, they like sand b/c they tend to bury themselves when hungry for small pray. I wouldnt expect to see that fish much, but when they do come out itz a party, and to hear them talk is just hillarious

Yes.

It is a very long lived fish, and with its armor it can hold its own with cichlids. It will hide most of the time the lights are on. I had one for 7 years that I recently gave away, he was @ 6 inches long at the time. They are often called a striped raphael catfish here.
