I have a 75 g tank w/ a lot of silk plants and fake driftwood. I am going to have furcata rainbows, differents kinds of tetras and other small fish in the tank. I am looking for a good bottom/algae cleaner that isn't a pleco. Looking for a colorful fish that would fit in well with the others. I'm located in Cincinnati, ohio if that will help figure an idea of what might be able to be bought locally. Thanks for the help.

a cory school comes to mind but I am not very familure with rainbows. I know they would be okay with most tetras.

I recommend a school of Corydoras as bottom feeders, like arcuatus & julii. For Algae, you can get a school of Otos, but a BN would also be great for Algae control.

Cories and loaches are both good bottom feeders, although they aren't algae eaters. Cories should be in a school of at least 6; loaches like company of their own kind so at least 3-4 is a good start.

As mentioned a school of otos would be good for algae. They can be sensitive though and should only be added after the tank is established and there is algae for them to start working on.
