I've never had clowns (yet ) but my kuhlis, yo yos, queens have never gotten stuck yet, and they sure get into some interesting spaces :%) I did have a paradise fish get stuck in a hole. Unfortunately it happened overnight and the fish didn't make it Maybe loaches are smarter ???

Setting up a cave depends on how large your loaches are and how many you have. PVC pipe is commonly used as well as terra cotta pots. With the pots I soak them for a bit, cut the bottom hole larger, file down rough edges, and then give it a good wash with plain water.

You could also build something with rocks; if your loaches are on the larger side you might do best to glue them together with aquarium sealant to avoid any accidents.

for a cave, u can get a long flower pot, and make a reallyl large hole on the other side, so they can get out. i think it maybe a problem, b/c there backs are arched, so yes if there head can go though and the rest of there body can't than they can get stuck, but only if they are stressed out. usually they will keep trying to get free, and keep swimming, and bursting forward. but if u aren't by the tank, then it will probably just back out of the hole.

Yes, they can try to pass & get stuck, but if you have a small hole, just try to make it bigger so he can pass through it. you can make caves with rocks, glued together with silicone or with flower pots or with coconut shells.
