That's not to say every clown is going to reach 12" or they are going to do it very quickly but it's not fair to try to put them in a small tank. You also can't put in 3 clowns and 3 yoyos and call it a school. They may sometimes swim together and they may like the extra company of the other species but if you want to do the best thing you should have 6 of each species. |

I don't think they would school together, but I do know they do like the company of their own kind. I've only a pair of yo-yos in my 29, but they are great budds and I plan more as I can find them. Alas, here in the greater chicagoland area I've only found one lfs who even carries them, and then only some times. Plus, they're much better looking imo than clowns are. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I've managed to get 4 so far. There's only 1 store that carries them, they only have them every few months, and it's an hour drive to get there. |
