My pH is around 7.8-8. Is this too high for ottos?

A lower pH is preferable, but like almost any aquarium fish, if they are acclimated to the parameters slowly and properly they should be fine.

if the otto is well acclimated (by ur lfs and by urself)..then...the otto will adjust to it...mine is at 8.
