There is Tiger Shovelnose catfish, but they get huge. I saw some site said they needed at least 200 gallons.

Alright, you could go with those guys. They are amazing looking catfish. They actually look kind of similar to pike/barracuda. Caution though if you do get them, they can be aggressive. They had one at a LFS store in my area with a freshwater stingray. It ended up eating the 100+ stingray. Also there is Red Tail Catfish. They get pretty huge, even bigger than the tiger snovelnose. They are kind of a more traditional looking catfish but they look cool with their red tail. I think they could potentially become 5 feet long.

From behavior I have seen of these two types of fish. The redtail likes to stay more towards the bottom of the tank while the tiger snovelnose is more willing to come up to the surface of the water.

Considering the type of fish you are going to get, how about also getting Pacus and Silver Dollars too?

I'd like to clarify that aggressive does not mean the same as predatory. Eating something does not mean it's aggressive. Also, I've heard of the opposite happening; a stingray giving a good sting to a shovelnose that messed with it. Didn't kill it, but it wasn't in good shape for some time.

If that pool isn't built already, you should get on building it since catfish can grow monstrously fast.

I personally wouldn't put cichlids in a catfish grow-out tank. I'm not sure what species of catfish can take a beating from cichlids if the cichlids decided to get aggressive. Some of the larger Pims are probably what you want. Maybe Iridescent Sharks would work if that pool is big enough (you just gave depth, not surface area, which is the dimension that actually matters more).
