	Angel and Goldfish MIX?
Cichlid Kid Fish Addict Posts: 553 Kudos: 285 Votes: 34 Registered: 22-May-2004	just wondering but would it be okay to mix a goldfish in with my angel and some cories? the goldie is upstairs in a smaller tank and needs more room to grow.

Tropical fish need temps much higher than goldfish can survive in, and they also have very different food requirements. The food tropical fish eat is high in protein which can cause intestinal problems in goldfish, including impaction and death. Goldfish food is low in protein, and fish that need high protein levels can actually starve on goldfish food. So no, its not ok to mix them. Ask around maybe someone knows of an ornamental pond that needs a goldfish. Then, you will have peace of mind knowing it may reach it's full potential size. Good luck! "Talk is cheap.
