You could happily keep a pair in a 20g tank. Ensure there are a few terrocotta pots and live plants, they should be fine.

I got a well planted 20gal tall with mopani wood aqua clear 20-50 HOB
terrocotta pots about what size ? I have a few 4 inch I've used in the past in my tanks
how about rocks for cover made into a cave ?
