For a lot of general info on these rams, check out this thread.

Basically for water, you'll need it clean. Soft, acidic water is best, but if it is of excellent quality it should not matter too much to the rams. Water changes and a well-established filter are your best bets for keeping this species of cichlid happy and healthy.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

good info,
i have 2 large rain water tanks for our water suply(no hard water or chlorine).
The water that we get out of the tanks is perfect for rams, its soft , slightly acid(6.5ph) and crystal clear.
The tank
150L
filters
HOB power filter + box filter.
The fish
7 black widows
10 neon tetras
3 albino corys
1 bushy nose cat(female).
well planted
i got these cool things called amonia balls. they suck up all the amonia and doesn't let it turn into nitite or nitrate.
I have a philodendron plant that drops its roots down into the water. i think it sucks up a fair bit of waste aswell.

Would 2 pairs of rams fit in this?
