I personally would add 2-3, so there isnt such a territorial dispute between all of the 6 covering a 75 gallon.. yes it seems extreme, but those fish are very prissy for their space!!! I know! try that amount, see how it goes, and if all is well, then perhaps you can add your final count that you want. HTH

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

Hi Robby,
In my 75g I have 2 x blue and 2 x gold rams. I think they are a lovely fish and cant see any problems with you having 4. The only problem I find with them is that when I'm doing a gravel clean they are very inquisitive and I nearly suck them up in the cannister.

My Fish like swimming all day long,
They love my bubbles 'pop' on their bum!

If you add mostly females I think 6 would work but otherwise I'd stick wtih 4. They might get too territorial but it depends a bit on the fish your getting. I've had some get along fine with 2 males and 1 female in a 10g until I was ready to move the other male but I've heard of some males that wouldn't share a 55g with each other.
