Here's my delima. I bought was I thought was a pair of Bolivians. Turns out they are both males. One is bullying the other. So I plan on putting them in seperate tanks. So, to keep them happy I want to get them a female each. I saw some beautiful German rams and was wondering if they would be happy as pairs? I don't care if they can or will breed but will they get along?

120 GAL. Community Freshwater (2 huge mated angles, 2 German rams, Red tail shark, 2 Pearl Grammies, 3 Bushynose Plecos, Swordtails

110 Gal. (3 Koi Angles, 3 black marble viel tail Angles) 20 Neon tetras, 1 red tail shark, 3 clown loaches, Platys

I love the Bolivians... Beautiful. I am thinking of doing a Cichlid tank sometime down the road and will be interested to hear how this goes...

Sorry I don't have anything to offer as far as advice! I am but a rookie!

Thanks...

I tried the two species together in a really big tank for a short period of time, and the blues being the more aggressive species tend to victimise the bolivians a little. In a tank of 20 gal or less I can imagine they might fight often. They wont pair off unless with their own species.
