The other fish in the tank are neons, glowlights, 3 cherry barbs, and panda cories. The Opaline is extremely shy around people (runs and hides when you walk by), but I noticed while watching from a distance, that he is charging at and chasing my bolivian girl. I haven't seen him take a chunk out of her tail yet, but he does chase her around the tank a few times. I've always wondered why she stay at the front of the tank and paces from side to side. She is probably trying to get out, away from the bully. I will probably move her to my 55g. I have a female German ram in there who is peaceful. Will the two get along? I have never kept the two type together and they seem peaceful in their tanks. I also have 3 angels, rummy, von rios, and rummynose tetras, yoyo loaches, cories, ottos, and a BN in the 55g. I am not worried about anyone else bothering the bolivian....just wondering if she will get along with my German ram. Should I go for it? |

I had trouble with my opaline and some rams. She seems to have gotten over it since she got moved to a different tank with more hardscape that the rams were already established in. Some 3 spot gouramis can be quite agressive toward other labyrinth fish and some cichlids. |

With him being so shy around people, I was surprised to see the aggression. I will move my Bolivian to the 55g when I get off work. I'm sure she'll be glad to get away from the bully. Thanks Sham! |
