i have 6 groups of 6 angels ea. trying to let them pair up etc....

now would it be best to move the pairs that form, or is it better to move the rest of them that are in the tank with the paired up fishes.

another one, after they lay eggs, how long do i let them stay with the parents. When my convicts breed i always take the fry out too late and the parents eat them, so around what time length would be best to let the fry stay with the parents.

Chris,

Move the pairs to 10 or 20 gallon breeding tanks. Each tank should be equipped with a heater and a sponge filter with a breeding slate. The slate can either be smooth slate, a piece of glass set on edge or a ceramic piece.

Angelfish are good parents in the wild but it may take them 4 to 6 attempts to get parenting duties right in the hobby. As a result, many breeders remove the parents after spawning. Treating with methylene blue helps to prevent egg fungus and should be applied as near to the eggs as possible.

Agreat site is www.angelfish.net. The following link will take you a long discussion on breeding:

you know whose white divders, it forums like a grid pattern to divide a tank. I often see angel fish breeders using this. What problems does this create, and by problems i mean how much of a problem is it. Do babies move from side to side and will the different parents eat the babies that arent theirs.

Babies will move from side to side and other fish will eat the babies. I understand that they taste like chicken.

Of course if you use a standard breeder set-up you wouldn't worry about that...
