Hello,
Could a pair of convicts breed in a 30g with some larger tankmates? Thanks.

Chris

Not really because a 30 gallon is pretty minumum for breeding Convicts anyway. They would pretty much kill anything in the tank.

I agree, larger tankmates are a bad idea. if this is a 30 long (36" x 12" x ?? however tall) then you might be able to keep a school of some type of top dwelling fish, but there is still the chance they might get picked off as the cons get bigger. I think a school of hatchets or something similar would be ok until the cons get to around 4" or larger though.

I wouldn't put anything in a tank that size with a breeding pair on cons. Just my opinion.
