Here are some information for those who are interested in owning a cichlids(ounced sic-lids).

Distribution: widely distributed in parts of Africa, South America, Asia. Consist of about 2000 species

Common species: oscar, angelfish,discus,ram,green terror(if you have anymore you want to name, feel free)

Size range:varies widely. Often grow rapidly or outgrow community aquariums

Compatibility:Could be kept with other fishes. however, many cichlids are aggressive, territorial or predatory towards smaller fish. On the other hand,some cichlids, such as Apistogramma and Julidochromis spp., could be timid in the aquarium. Its best to keep with the same type of species or fish with their distinct personality and certain ones.
