	Convict Had Fry
bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004	what a surprise, i knew my female was gaurding a group of eggs, but after a few days the numbers went down so i figured there was a problem with the nest and left it at that. looking at the tank in the dark i saw my female in a white/black coloration which i only usually see in breeding pairs, so that caught my attention and i saw some little objects moving. this tank has alot of leaves of hornwort around so i thought it was the leaves, but to my surprise it is around 30-40 convict frys and added surprises, my convict holding tank has some other surprises. so far 3 pairs have formed, plus another in my other community tank. this summer i shojuld be full of little convicts. anyway just figure i would share

Youre going to end up with lots and lots of little ones! Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004	this was so stupid: i usually feed them a sinking food, colorbits. and i never really thought about it, but after watching them yesterday, the parents by accident were eatting some of the young in a feeding frreenzy. since the tank has alot of plant litter on the bottom and the fry were on the bottom and the food, the parents were eatting everything. it wasan't a big loss, but arounde 10 fry were eatten.
