I can't answer all your questions but I'll take a whack at it.

If you haven't gotten the tank yet, I'd recommend the 75 gallon... Get the tank used, and you'll save a bundle. You can do a lot better with the extra width (and therefore surface area) the 75 gallon provides. Your parents might put a stop to you on going for a 6' tank, even if you save a ton getting it used, but the 75 gallon is a 4' tank like the 55 gallon. No need to go for 90 gallon, it has useless extra height.

I think small tetras are the type of fish kept with Discus a lot. There are about a billion Discus tanks on the AGA aquascaping site, you can check that out for ideas. Remember, Discus like plants to hide in. Corydoras sterbai I hear to be the best Cory for Discus as they can live in the warm waters that Discus do. Hypancistrus types of plecs also appreciate warmer water temps and can be kept with Discus.

I'll take a whack at the questions left.

"if i somehow pull off breeding them..how much can i sell them for"

This depends on numerous factors. The strain and quality of the fish being sold, the size you raise it too, local availability of discus in your area... Hard to pin that down as it can really vary. Track down the local fish clubs if any, you may get good leads/sources of above quality fish. Some of those clubs have accredited breeding programs.

"being delicate fish what speicial things should i do when seetting up the tank" - the place where you are going to get your discus, match their water parameters. You might make things easier and get domestically bred ones, they're used to your water already so less constant fussing required. b) lots of water changes.

2 ways to set up a discus breeding tank I usually see. A pair in a bare smaller bare tank, or a pair or group in a
larger planted amazon biotope. Shinigami suggested the AGA aquascaping site, you'll get load of inspiration from those tank pics.

"- can i fit one red and 5 blue in a 55 gal?"
The color doesn't matter. But a breeder I know keeps pairs in bare 50-55g tanks. Has racks of em. So yes it's quite fine.

Cheers and good luck
