Anyhow, i'm throwing in some discus, and i'm wondering about a few things: 1) Can I do high light, using the larger plants to create shade for the discus? or am i stuck with low light? 2) Will apisto's work for discus tank mates? or are they too aggressive/active? 3) Any problems with BN's sucking slime off the side of discus? 4) would under grav coil heating be a good idea, given how sensitive discus are? |

High light should be fine. I would just make sure that there are some shaded areas if the disucs want them. 2. Apistos will be fine for tankmates. You may also want to consider rams, tetras and cories just to name a few. 3. No problems with BN cats. I have had problems with other plecos, but BN's will be fine. 4. Under gravel heating should be fine. I have never used it, but as long as it keeps the water warm, I couldn't see it being a problem. Good luck, |
