hi guys, yesterday i found that my green sevrum had layed a bunch off eggs, well about 3 days ago i had a salvini in the same tank, and he went a bit nuts and killed a few tetras in there,so i moved him to a bigger tank.my question is are these 2 fish attemping to breed,as the sevrum has never layed eggs b4 im thinking that when i added the salvini they tryed to get it on,.so can these two fish sucsessfully breed,id just like to no becuse the sevrum is due for a upgrade and will be going back in with the salvini and i dont want any x -breeds.thanx guys oh and 1 more thing,my nextdoor neighbour has a male green sevrum, and we tryed to put them together b4 but my female flogged his male,do u think she mite welcome him in to fertilize the eggs even if only for a night then i could move him or use 1 of my divders.i woulnt worry but i never breed sevrums b4

I am not sure if Salvini and Sevrum can breed or not. If you want to breed your Sevrum and your neibors then I would try the divider. If you can get her to lay the eggs close to the divider then the male can fert. through it. Thus no beating the snot out of each other.

I agree with wings' advice. trying to get them to breed through the divider is the best way to go. as for a salvini and severum breeding...well I'd say it's highly unlikely but I won't say it's impossible.
