Well I've been raising my Trimac now for a while and need a change, I've had enough sharp teeth and personality to last me awhile. I've had my Trimac since he was about 5'' now he is about 9'' in size and thick.

My water parameters are 8.0 pH, all the water that goes into the house is filtered through a chlorine and ammonia removal system but it is still hard.

Tank is sand substrate with MTS tunneling around, driftwood, filtered by a Wet/Dry system, and heated by dual 150 watt heaters.

Now I would really like a community cichlid tank with many different types of cichlids interacting with eachother, holding their territories, etc. With this size tank I'm thinking I would have to stick with Cichlids in the medium size range in order to have the community I am looking for.

Any input is appreciated, Thanks

when you say "holding their territories" do mean chasing eachother all over the tank?

Not that but just that they have thier on little niches and interact with eachother basically something is always happening in the tank always someone moving around. But not like the swirl of colros and african tank would have.
