i was just about to catch my bolivian to trade for a male german so i can pair up my german girl... and all of the sudden i saw german girl in the corner guarding EGGS on a rock!!!!

can this happen? a german ram and a bolivian ram? will the breed be successful? i can see there are only about 20-35 eggs on the rock and one of them has a little wiggly tail moving!!!

i am confused, please chime in with some suggestions on what i should do at this point...

evidently you got some cross breeding goign on. This brings up multiple moral issues that only you can decide on honestly.

Hybrids are not welcomed in the hobby at all. Your gona either be stuck with many fish because no one else wants them, or you will be forced to cull them.

you can raise the eggs, but they probably wont last long (the fry)... i reccomend some antifungal dropss and collecting them and putting them in a breeding trap with an airstone and some pant matter (java moss or etc.) also get some fry food ASAP! take the male out and get the male you wanted... the cross bred babies are not worth a whole lot and could ruin strains if bred in the future (the fry)... so either destroy the eggs or dont sell them or allow them to further breed or the future lines to survive...

it is considered unethical in the aquarist worldd to allow hybridization like that to occur.

No offence but I'm glad. Its alot easier for the eggs to just disapear then dealing with culling.
