Would this work out? I am planning on getting a 55 gallon tank and was leaning on a pair of blue acaras, but if a pair of JD's would work I might do that. I know that they get to about 10 inches, so I'm kinda skeptical about them in a 55 gallon. The only other tankmate would be some sort of bottom feeder, possibly a bn. So what do you guys and girls think? What does that mean, Bob? "Till the cows come home." Where have the cows been? |

If you want a plec in there with them youll need enough decor for it to be able to hide , it might get persecuted in smaller sized tanks, and you dont want to sacrifice too much swimming room. It could work, but go bigger if you can. Dempseys are nicer display fish than blue acaras, but they can be meaner too. |
