Hi Coop, I have both in my 4ft (49 gallons). They are fine with each other, never have seen any agression between them.

Just make sure that you have lots of territories established. The Kribs tend to hang around the bottom of the tank more than the Rams do, but both will need their own place to hang out.

How many of each are you planning to get? I think that a couple of Kribs (male and female) would be ok, if you get more than one pair then you might have some aggression between the two pairs fighting for the best territories. 1 ram on its own would be ok, however I do have 2.

Cheers
Crusha

I aLready have a pair of kribs in it, and i thaught 2 pairs of rams would be nice. Does that sound alright to you?
The kribs have a clay pot that they hang around all the time, ther are 3 smaller pots that the rams could hang out in.
thanks

In my tank, which is 198L I have 4 rams - 2 x blue and 2 x gold.

They all seem to get on very well, just the ocassional stand-off between the rams but nothing too major. Your tank is only 150L. It would depend on how stocked your tank already is as to whether you could comfortably accommodate 4 rams.

The will all need some territory to call their own. If you can provide this then I dont think it would be a problem, but it does depend on what you already have in your tank.

Also remember that rams are on the more difficult scale to keep, meaning they are sensitive to water conditions. Just something to keep in mind.

Good luck and enjoy your Rams.

Cheers - Crusha

I have a scool of 10 neon teras,a school of 7 black widows,3 corys and a small bushynose cat aswell as the pair of kribs. I used to have gold gouramis but they ate my kribs eggs.
The tank has been going for a year or more. I use tank water that has a good filtration system. i think they will be allright. I'll start off with just 1 pair, see how they go.

Because both of those fish share the same "swimming area,"
I personally would not put them in together, plus if you have a male and a female krib, and the decide to breed, its death to the blue ram(s), they get nasty, and only want the best for their fry, so no one is accepted around their "nesting area." And as KMLubahn6609 said, they are from 2 completely different continents, so their parameters are a big difference!!! Maybe look for "dither fish" like danios, rasboras, congo tetras... that will give you some open options.. I hope this helps!

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)
