carpe_diem![]() ![]() Fish Addict *Dreamer* Posts: 555 Kudos: 292 Votes: 51 Registered: 18-Apr-2004 ![]() ![]() | Hi have just purchased my first pair of bolivian rams! ive been looking around at some many fish shops and finally found them yesterday! they are currently making there home in my 20g along with 6 albino cories and 4 danios! they are still looking greyish and they werent grey when i bought them.. im just curious at how long until this disappears and since they are tiny how long till they start to show the pink and yellow colour?? im currently feeding them tropical flakes which are supposed to help 'colour' them.. what else can i feed as treats? ive noticed they like brine shrimp pellets which i feed to my cories.. and is this tank now 'stocked'? |

They like just about any frozen food also, but do not spoil them on it. Best of luck. |

However, if one of the fish starts beating up the other, the bullied fish will show stress coloring, mostly gray in this case. If you add any more fish, make it a couple of danios. That will give them a larger group and will make them a little happier. Otherwise, your stocking looks fine. Supposedly frozen fish goods go bad after a period of months, but I doubt you'll have a problem with expiration and frozen foods. I don't, because I still use them after months. ![]() |

Ive noticed they arent too fussed about the flakes the LFS sold me so they have been digging in on brine shrimp with my cories. They are starting to show the hot pink colour around theyre fins and some orange on there bodies now ![]() They seem to be really good buddies and tend to follow one another around the tank which is really cute! i might buy a fresh lot of worms next time im out just in case... ive had them for about a year (i forgot about them ![]() |
