Hello everyone,
I just found the site and immediatly signed up as a memeber. I have 3 pairs of convicts(all three will be laying eggs real soon) in a 150 gallon fish tank. I have place 3 terra cotta pots about the tank in each ones domain. I have had these for a while and have had several babies from each pair which I have then traded with friends for other types of fish. Allin all, I have about 18 tanks, all of which are freshwater.

I also have about 6 Laetacara Curviceps in their own 55 gallon tank. I love these little fish. I came across them by accident at Petsmart one day and have been driving myself crazy trying to find more info on them.

If anyone knows a good site where I could find out more about Curviceps let me know.

Curviceps are a wonderful fish. I remember keeping them many years ago. They should love the 55 gals. Where are you from? Around my area they are everywhere.

You have a good start there with your 18 tanks. You'll soon be up to more if you keep up with us, lol. What all kinds of fish do you keep in them?

Oh, forgot; Welcome to FP

Congratulations on the L. curviceps and welcome to this site. Your dwarf cichlids clearly stick out among the aquatic friends of your family! Just don't mix them. There is plenty of info out on the web - just google them, BTW, for a while they were labeled as Aequidens. The only short coming in my opinion of all these sites is a reliable way to sex them. I have a pair myself and I am at a loss what gender(s) I have. The site recommended to you here is equally confusing as the male is described being more flashy, while the pictures clearly betray this statement. Let us know how it goes with your new friends!
