i have had oscars before and mine all seemed durnal, now this one seems nocturnal.all water parameters are in check and everything is good, i just cant be sure he eats cuz he seems to be 25% actve during day and 75% at night. is this normal and arent oscars normally diurnal

Oscars are opportunistic feeders. They'll eat whenever food is detected. I fed mine when either the tank light or room light was on but I'm sure they'd smell chopped shrimp in the dark just as easy

Never had a prob with them personally. They seem to be happy to play along (literally) with whatever 'lighting system' I used.
