recommended medications?.....its been a while since I had a fish with Ick, and I used to use Coppersafe for it. Is that ok for an Oscar? Is there a better solution? Just introduced to the tank (55 gallon)2 days ago, hes the only occupant.

Well the good news is that you have a solitary fish in the tank... The bad news is that it's capacity is 55Gallons! You will have to treat the entire tank. Taking out the oscar and placing it in a smaller still leaves the parasite in the larger tank.

I looked up treating an Oscar with that specific medication and found a caution. Here is the article, read through it and then decide:
