Finally after years of searching, I've found an amazing toy for my fish. This 6 1/2in male chipokae that is purple and black, as many of you know, is a terminally bored fish. He loves to destroy things, and redecorates his tank constantly. If you're not paying enough attention to him when he wants it, he clanks glass stones on the corners of the tank to get your notice. He likes chasing his reflection in a mirror but eventually tires of that game as well. Dude even chases a laser pen light and his favorite game is to try to eat my cat when she jumps up next to the tank.

However I have finally found what I needed. At petco this weekend I stumbled onto an aeration alligator. Gator is about 6 inches long, a couple inches wide and tall with a tube going under his body and into his moveable jaw which "snaps" like a gator with the bubbles that come out.

My fish hates it. I can see his bp rising. At first he was sketchy, and then he started throwing a pebble or two at it. Eventually he got brave enough to dig around it so he could knock it off balance and make the jaw stop opening and closing. Next he started spitting more stones on the gators head and filling up his lower jaw. Its so entertaining to watch him figure out how to stop the alligator.

Only product issue is that its kind of loud with all of the bubbles that come out, so I'm needing to find some sort of valve to limit the flow.

Just wanted to update everyone on the psycho fish.

You can buy gang valves that regulate the air flow. I got some cheap at Walmart...and they work good too.

That is so funny...he is finally entertained.
