I have a 30g planted with a school of rummynoses, group of kuhliis, snakeskin gourami, and a clown plec.

One of my daughter's had inherited my fish-keeping addiction and in addition to my 29g (photos) she is taking over the 30g. She decided she wants to add an angel to the tank, and we have a number of age and color options available to us from a local breeder.

One angel is just over a year old; would introducing a fish that age to a community tank cause problems?

There are others quarter and half-dollar sized. Are angels that age/size generally hardy?

And finally, will there be problems with an angel and the gourami?

Thanks

The gourami should be fine with the angel. Snakeskins are usually very docile.

Nickel sized angels are a good size to get. I wouldnt always go with a larger and older angel for a community tank. Those angels would probably be best in a larger S.A cichlid tank or for breeding tanks. 2-4 small sized angelfish would be ok for the 29.

If they are comming from a breeder, generally they should be hardy. from my experience i know where your comming from as when i use to buy really small angels they would come in sick, but in your case they should be fine.

The Gourami & the Angel will be fine together. I would add a small sized Angel, as you already have the Rummynose Tetras & you don't them to be eaten.
