	Ram Behavior

He will flare his fins and darken while shuddering, meanwhile his head is always pointing up at the surface. He is very healthly and has no other problems other than his mate died about a month and a half ago. i am just wondering if this is normal. -Vincent

Next chance I get I was going to buy a female but I haven't been to the store I like to get them from, they are very healthy and active there. Well thanx for informing me that it is normal. -Vincent

I think it would be a bit dangerous to have more than a pair as the tank is too small for the other to escape or hide if mating occurs and she would become a target for the other 2. You would be better off just adding 1 female, but keep a close eye on the tank as the male may see this as an intrusion and not accept the company. Sounds like they were very happy if breeding within weeks of coming to your house. Good luck getting a nice girlie for your little guy. Rams are lovely.
