niko001 Hobbyist Posts: 71 Kudos: 54 Votes: 8 Registered: 02-Mar-2005 | Any one with experience with Salvini? I purchased a pair (still young and sex I cannot determine). Although whenever I see pics of these fish they are yellow in colour, my pair are rather dull with silver and horizontal black stripe. Do the young change colour when they grow up or depend on the breeding regime of fish farmers? |

Females will get a deep red belly, males will have some red too, but will be slightly dull and more blue than the females. It's pretty difficult to tell them apart, except for the fact that males are far more territorial and grow bigger. Very nice fish, but make sure tank mates are equally aggressive. |
