hey guys,i was just about to do my water changes and i noticed that 1 of the new gts i got, only after 3 days of being in the tank has dropped a small batch of eggs, ive often wondered,so my question is,do you guys still continue as normall with your wcs, when you have eggs or fry?normally ill skip a wc,if eggs or fry are present, but the batch of eggs i spoke of above,im not worried about them, cause she dosent even have a partner yet,she must have already been carry ing that batch, when i got from the shop a?

Well if your not trying to breed this one, which by your post your not. Then I wouldn't worry about it and continue as normal. Plus you said that she doesn't have a partner that means the eggs will not be fertilized. So if you don't remove them all that will happen is they will rot and screw up your water chemistry.

If you do have fry and the like then the easiest way to do a WC is by taking the water out of the filter and not directly from the tank itself.

If you do a water change straight from the tank then Dont use an automated system like a Python. Just use the old bucket and siphon time consuming method that we all have the love/hate relationship with. That way when you fill the bucket you can use a flashlight to watch for fry swimming in the bucket and will be able to put them back in the tank.

I have use the flashlight method successfully myself. I hope this helps out.

LOL sorry about that if you take the water from the filter then you don't have to get out a flash light and search the bucket! It didnt occur to me till after doing a bucket search three times that if I had Taken the water from the filter I wouldnt have had to put my face in a bucket for 15 to 20 minutes,
