Full-sized sev, blue acara/GT hybrid, 5-6" oscar and misc bottom feeders. Wondering what cichlid I could add that wouldn't be too agressive towards the current fish, but that would also not get beat up by them. Would a JD be ok? Any other ideas?

Thanks

It really depends on the tank size, but a JD would be ok. But I would make sure you have lots of caves and plants or wood to break up the tank. A pike cichlid would be ok too, but you might not see much of him though.

I've heard the those Electric Blue JD's are WAY less aggressive than the 'standard' JD. Check them out. I would love to have one. They're a little more 'costly' than a standard JD, but probably worth the x-tra $$$

A JD will probably work as long as the tank is large enough but we're prob talking 100G+ and it really dpends on the JD, it's no guarantee that you won't get a really agressive one. Thr EBJD's are supposed to be more docile but are reportedly susceptible to disease which at their pricess might not be a chance you want to take. I have seen them priced at 60.00 for a 4" fish. If you have a large tank, I like the choclate cichlids. They are about the same tempermant as a sev and get about 12" (I think).

By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
