Any Idea of some other common cichlids I could put it that have some color? I'm also thinkin of puttin a blue ram too if the store ever gets one in. Thanks I've got a lotta plants and a few caves./:' |

Especially since hex tanks don't have alot of substrate area but tend to be taller instead. Only thing I'd add is probably another bolivian of the opposite gender. Then maybe some small schooling fish or male livebearers. I'd suggest a 20g long minimum to mix more than a pair of rams and then I'd probably stick with the smaller german rams and do no more than 2 pairs. Even then sometimes a ram will go on a killing spree and wipe out every other cichlid in a tank that size. Rams are some of the most peaceful cichlids so pretty much everything else has an even higher chance of causing injury or death to it's tankmates. To minimize the potential for such incidents your best off sticking to a pair or small colony of 1 species in smaller tanks. |
