Would I be able to mix one blue ram and one bolivian ram in my 20gal hex tank?

I know it seems the natural thing to do, but they are a different species and blue rams are often more aggressive than bolivian rams. I kept mine together for a short period of time but seperated them after it was clear that the blues were making the bolivians lives uncomfortable. The fighting wasnt severe, but it was a much bigger tank than yours. In a 20 a blue might give a bolivian no peace whatsoever, consequently the bolivian might become reclusive and suffer injuries. It might happen , it might not, its not an entirely predictable situation, but I probably wouldnt risk it.

I have a pair of Bolivian rams and they tend to be rather shy and they are certainly not aggressive in any way. I would be carefull in mixing rams unless you are 100% sure they would be compatable.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
