Hi i have a 37 gallon tank with a couple of medium large sized central american cichlids.I was wondering what fish might be compatible with those fish. The LFS said firemouth, green terror, and jack dempseys.

For a 37 gallon tank I really wouldn't add any more.

Honestly your LFS sounds like it's just trying to make a sale and don't care about the health of the fish.

Hi,
Your tank is over crowded.
Here is a site you might want to look at:

http://www.howmanyfish.com/#page=page-1

Plug the tank's measurements into the blanks and hit "solve." That will tell you how many fish are recommended. Be sure to note the difference between "slender bodied" and "full bodied" when making that decision.
