*sigh* Another Rescue | |
Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003 | This is a culteral thing I've been trying to fight since I learned about it 3 years ago. People can't seem to understand that this is wrong, but I just might be making some headway. It's a new years tradition in a certian culture that shall remain unamed. And unfortunatly it's just understood that they die. So it becomes an issue of do I try and rescue the fish (not that I have a full sized pond for them, just the one in the living room) or do I allow them to die as they would anyway and if I try and rescue them all each year I'd quicly run out of tank space let alone house space and then are they better off or would they have been better dead. Hopefully I'll stop hearing/seeing them and I can blissfully pretend that it doesnt' happen. For now I have 3 more little guys in the pond...they're soooo tiny and cute and adorable . ^_^
It only hurts when I breathe" |

I wish that I could rescue every pug or betta that needs a good home. What I can do if fulfill my committment to the ones I do have to ensure they get the best care possible. And not to breed unless I am prepared to keep everyone of the offspring for the rest of their lives if necessary. |

Look, I am a goldfish breeder and if you find any more of these poor souls, you can always send them to me. I'll find room for them and they won't get their backs twisted by lack of room or suffocated because of too much ammonia, or heaven forbid, thrown alive and well into a toilet. Promise. I am in Texas. You can ship them to me. Patty |
