Hi there,

I am just writing to ask if anyone knows what sort of medications there are out there to rid a pond of algae?

(Its not actually a pond. Its a swimming pool full of carp :%) )

Is it algae or blanket weed? the difference being that algae will turn the water a green and blanket weed is all stringy and attacts itself to everything

try either barley straw in a netting or barley straw extract, the H2O2 produced kills the algae and stops it growing.

if it's green water that is the problem, use a UV unit on the pump or filter, it causes the algae to stick together then either sink to bottom of the pond or removed by the filters.
